Norfolk Chapter

Over the past year, NOP’s Norfolk Chapter secured a major victory with their first campaign win. After months of planning, 53 members and supporters successfully presented their Language Access Plan to the City Council, which voted unanimously to adopt it. The plan includes the creation of a new Language Navigator position for the city, staff training on language accessibility, and improvements to interpretation and translation services for emergency response. This victory is a testament to the power of local organizing and the commitment of community members to make a real difference.
